The Clean Animals and the Unclean Animals

5/31/20

Continuing on the theme of Noah and the ark, Elder Chris's focus today was on the clean and unclean animals that were on the ark. Contrary to popular belief, the animals that went into the ark did not all go in by pairs of two. In Genesis 7:2, God commands Noah "Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of the beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female." Why did God choose pairs of two and seven? And what was the significance of God commanding not only Noah but the animals as well, to enter into the ark? All were obedient to God's command.
